Property in Wynberg
Wynberg is part of the Southern Suburbs and known to have the highest concentration of historical buildings in Cape Town. Their hipped and half hipped thatched roofs are very distinctive and redolent of Victorian villages in the English country side. Wynberg is also known to be the main transport hub for the rest of the Southern Suburbs.

This vibrant suburb, with its mountain backdrop, is conveniently situated between Cape Town’s CBD and a number of Cape Town’s beautiful sandy beaches. Wynberg property is also located a mere 10 minutes from the Constantia Wine Route and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.
One of Wynberg’s great features is Maynardville Park. The setting’s sweeping lawns are perfect for picnics as well as outdoor activities, and include an open-air theatre. The park is a popular venue for hosting carnivals, fairs, markets, motor shows and wedding receptions.

Wynberg Chelsea Village
A scant few kilometers from the Cape Town City Centre is the Old Village of Wynberg. In the Early 18th century it served as a half way stop off for coaches traveling between the city and Simonstown. It then developed into a garrison settlement during the British occupation of the Cape. Soon officers of famous regiments built their wives and the families the beautiful thatched homes we now find in Wynberg Chelsea Village. The old cottages which once were the inn’s, pubs, laundries, bakeries and the blacksmiths have now been converted into desirable Wynberg properties.
A group of conservationists and members of the old Wynberg Villager society protect the aesthetics and unique character and charm of the area by monitoring all renovations and new buildings. They do an excellent job making sure this beautiful corner of our Cape heritage is preserved for posterity. Anyone moving to the Chelsea Village area can be reassured that a house with provenance is indeed a good investment.
Property in Kenilworth
Lying between the suburbs of Wynberg and Claremont is Kenilworth. Large homes with extensive gardens can be found along with the other well-established properties in Kenilworth.

The Kenilworth Race Course can also be found in this suburb. It is the oldest horseracing course in South Africa and is home to the annual J&B Met.
